CUH developed a metaverse clinic

Published

on

A virtual clinic is being established in the metaverse by Chosun University Hospital, a private university hospital in the South Korean city of Gwangju in the southwest. The hospital and a nearby health tech firm, Deltoid, recently agreed to a memorandum of understanding for the market development and commercial expansion.

Together, they will open a metaverse clinic where local and international patients can get virtual healthcare. Additionally, the location will host educational programs for the hospital’s international medical personnel

Chosun said in a statement that it plans to provide virtual medical services in the metaverse, a network of three-dimensional virtual worlds, in an effort to draw overseas patients and revitalize Gwangju’s medical tourism.

Health practitioners in South Korea are increasingly talking about the medical metaverse. A study group focused on finding ways to use the metaverse for the prevention, treatment, and management of diseases was established at the beginning of this year by more than 200 South Korean medical experts under the direction of professors from the College of Medicine at Seoul National University.

Other healthcare providers, hospitals, and health technology innovators in Asia-Pacific are also introducing their services in the metaverse, aside from South Korea. The Yashoda Hospitals in India joined the metaverse as the nation’s first healthcare organization in late June.

Aimedis, a Dutch medical technology firm, has announced that Singaporean healthcare provider Meta Health will join its metaverse clinic. It will integrate its telemedicine platform 5Digital into the digital clinic, allowing for the blockchain-based storage of consultation notes and medical data from IoT devices.

In the meantime, the Indian fitness startup GOQii acquired $10 million in funding in March to promote the creation of a health metaverse ecosystem that rewards users for adopting good habits and completing gamified fitness tasks.

LongevityDAO and Tomorrow Bio are working together on a project called Cryonauts. Cryopreservation of an individual’s entire body is a service offered by Tomorrow Bio to clients who are interested in the possibility of living longer than is presently feasible and in witnessing the future.

The Cryonauts are currently dormant in their cryogenic dewars, awaiting the day when they will be awakened at some point in the distant future. All of the money made from this NFT initiative will be used towards research projects that Tomorrow Bio is conducting to enhance the standard of cryopreservation processes. A cryopreservation package with a market value of $200,000 will be given away to one very fortunate NFT holder.

The community will continue to assist the NFTs in a variety of ways, including providing marketing exposure and other rewards on reaching subsequent revenue milestones

Cryonauts are Tomorrow Bio’s official non-fantasy toys (NFTs). The holders of Tomorrow Bio are being cryogenically preserved for a time in the future when research into longevity will have progressed to the point where it will be feasible to live for a thousand years. Create a Cryonaut and sell it to raise money for Tomorrow Biostasis.

One of the NFTs has achieved legendary status, which confers upon its owner the privilege of receiving one complimentary cryopreservation service from Tomorrow Bio. The cryopreservation of this specimen is valued at €200,000.

Samsung to unveil new space in Fortnite

Published

on

Samsung announced at Galaxy Unpacked 2022 that it will soon release its own island in the Fortnite metaverse after earlier this year seeing the birth of virtual worlds in Decentraland, ZEPETO, and Roblox. Samsung’s Fortnite metaverse island, “Smart City,” honors the release of the brand’s most recent foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Players of Fortnite who visit Samsung’s island will be able to interact and experience Samsung goods virtually

Smart City is “not just about having fun, but more importantly about exploring and forming relationships,” according to Samsung Latin America. In either case, there are gameplay features including treasure hunts for in-game items.

Structures like bridges, skyscrapers, and spotlights that resemble Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones and The Freestyle projector can be found throughout the explorable virtual world. Beginning on August 18, Smart City will debut in the Fortnite metaverse.

The Z Series Fun Game Quest will include Samsung’s Smart City in the Fortnite metaverse as far as gaming is concerned. The new hidden Galaxy Z Fold 4 in-game item is made to be found by playing “hide and seek” games. Players can activate features like Nightography, which improves night vision in the game world, while still keeping the Z Fold 4 with their characters.

The brighter and better sensors, enhanced night photography, and a ton of other fascinating new features and updates, as well as larger batteries and better build quality, are all promised by Samsung’s forthcoming foldable phones. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 start at $999 and $1,799, respectively, in the majority of markets.

The Advanced Intelligent ANC wireless earbuds and a few new Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatches, including a Pro variant with a battery large enough to last up to 80 hours on a single charge, were also unveiled by Samsung at Unpacked 2022.
