Ember Sword, a game that defies many Metaverse conventions, in a good way, when it comes to being just another MMORPG. Ember Sword, set to release in 2023, will be a blockchain game that is based on some tried and true tropes of multi-player games, but with a twist. What this game and its developers are proposing for this release is a game which stays true to the origins of the genre known as MMORPG, that looks and feels like a game that was designed by a triple-A company and released to acclaim around the world. In this article we will discuss just how they plan to make that happen in 2023.

What is It?

Ember Sword, as stated, will be a blockchain crypto MMORPG game for Metaverse. It is being developed by Brightstar Studios, a highly praised company in its own right, and the social media hype around the game on Discord and other platforms is nothing to scoff at. It has amassed more than 70 thousand followers and engagements on that same sever, and they’re expecting more by the end of this quarter.

“The game is set on the dystopian moon Thanabus, with four nations planned: Solarwood, Duskerton, Sevrend and Ediseau. Alpha testing will take place in Solarwood, with the opening of the other nations planned for 2023 and beyond. Once the game is complete, players choose one of the four nations to call home upon character creation.” -Finder Review

When the game finally releases sometime next year, players will be greeted by several play-mode options. Players will be able to build teams, composed of guild members, that will venture out in search of the NFT items they need to sell and trade in the in-game marketplace for points. These points will be exchanged to level up the playable characters and to buy parcels.

The developers have announced that, ultimately, they want the game to be free, and skill-based. In fact, developers have stated, “We hate Pay to Win, and we’ll keep Ember Sword skill-based and competitive by not implementing any Pay to Win mechanics.”

Scorn is a game in development by developer Ebb Software, to be released by the publishing company responsible for other hit titles, Kepler Interactive. The game is a survival horror, adventure survival game that utilizes a first-person perspective. The “horror” aspect is based on the art style of the famous H.R. The Setting

In the game’s main setting, the player is placed in the position of a horrific humanoid who is lost in a fictional and terrifying alien planet. The game takes place in the fictional island town of Redfall, Massachusetts. The story revolves around the events that unfold after a failed scientific experiment which brings an army of vampires to the quiet and isolated town. The player is trapped inside the town and they are required to choose among four unique survivor classes, namely cryptozoologist Devinder Crousley, telekinetic academic Layla Ellison, combat engineer Remi de la Rosa, and supernatural sharpshooter Jacob Boyer. The overall goal is to work as a team to destroy vampires and escape the island.

Atomic Heart’s release is slated for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S in the third or fourth quarter of 2022. The Setting

This upcoming game is what’s known as an FPS, or first-person shooter, video game with action role-playing aspects. The combat in Atomic Heart is based around shooting and melee, or physical attacks like swinging as well as improvised weapons.
