Homeworld 3 is Finally Getting A Release Date for Late 2023
Homeworld is the latest, and third, installment in the famous space exploration franchise that is coming to Steam. Much like the legendary Eve Online, the Homeworld franchise is a free-roam, real-time exploration and economy simulator. The game is being developed by Blackbird Interactive, and will be published by Gearbox Publishing. The game’s release date is now set for early 2023, and this comes as a great relief to those who have been anticipating the release. The release comes after a very successful crowd funding campaign made possible by Blackbird, and in the main article we will examine the details of the game.
The Setting
The setting is no less than the open expanse of space. The space-exploration game employs mechanics that are reminiscent of EVE and other real-time world builders. But Homeworld does have a few unique elements going for it, and “will not just be a visual treat for fans, with all new ship designs and settings, but will also add key gameplay features that continue to deepen the series’ enthralling strategy gameplay.”
Granted, the developer has a lot invested in the success of the game, but, objectively, it does seems to be a great step forward in tailor made hardware driven software.

Ravenlok is a Magical Thrill Ride Coming in Early 2023. The titular character of the game is also the main protagonist and focus of the game’s plot. The game is being developed and published by Cococucumber, a company responsible for such games as Riverbond and Echo Generation. Interestingly, the developers have taken on this project in an effort to broaden the audiences perspective on the art style and the grit of story telling. The Setting
Ravenlok, the main character, find’s herself in the magical mirror world. The style and story are reminiscent of American Macgee’s Alice, for those of you who remember that PC gem, and Through the Looking Glass. Even the villain is a play on the literary classic, Caterpillar Queen.
The villain’s motives are initially obscure, but Ravenlok eventually discovers what her goals are, and must fight to escape this mirror world. The game involves real-time combat mechanics and an exploratory element.

“An inspiration for me is exploring the idea of identity, in particular Asian identity. It is not explicit that Kira is Asian, but reimagining a story about how a girl with this background who goes through this journey into a magical world adds another layer. Why can’t an Asian girl be a hero in this topsy-turvy world?” -Developer

Skate Story is Coming to Windows and MAC in Summer of 2023. The game is currently in development at a studio involving Sam Eng and will be published by Devolver Digital. The game is an Indie/Action RPG, or role-playing game with a dark and unique art style. The story and pretext for the plot is even more interesting and engaging than the art style. The main character is a demon from hell who is given the task of “swallowing the moon” and in order to reach it, he must skate there, hence the name of the game. In the main article, we will be reviewing what we know about the game and detail some of the developer’s insights.
The Setting
So, the story of Skate Story centers on a demon from the underworld whose main task is to embark on an adventure to the moon, and, once he gets there, he has to swallow it, thereby claiming it for the hellspawn.

Creature Keeper Will be Released in Late 2023: We Can’t Wait. The game will be released later next year and it is in development at Fervir Games. It will be published by the minds at Graffiti Games, who are responsible for such titles as Blue Fire and Cyber Hook. The game is currently in the Kickstarter phase and may be soon completed if funding holds out. The game will be run on the Construct Engine and will hopefully run smoothly. It is a role playing action-adventure game, and in the main article we will discuss the mechanics and setting of the game.

“Creature Keeper is an action-adventure RPG where you raise creatures to fight alongside you as you explore the world. Learn skills from creatures, and search with them throughout the most hidden corners of the world. Gather materials, craft equipment, cook for both yourself and your creatures, and build your dream team of creatures to take on the world!”
This is from the kickstarter campaign website. The game has as its object the raising, taming, and utilization of creatures on your farm. The object being to use them for fights and other projects.
