Volkswagen plans to build half a dozen battery factories in Europe and expand infrastructure for charging you automobiles that are electric, accelerating efforts to overtake Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) and increase mass adoption of battery-powered vehicles.

This will be followed by a factory in Spain, France or Portugal in 2026 and a niche site in Poland, Slovakia or the Republic that is Czech by. Two more plants is arranged by 2030.
